About Me
Born and raised in Innsbruck, Austria, I came to the United States in 1987 at the age of 24 on an adventure with my 15-month-old daughter. The planned three to six months of travel turned into thirty-six years in New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment.
In 1997, my then husband and I purchased the Aztec Café in Santa Fe. One of the café regulars invited me to an event at a local healing center on Luisa Street. I was skeptical and not intending to go. Meanwhile, I got into an argument over the phone with my husband, and decided I needed to give the event a try. That was the beginning of my interest and involvement in the healing arts. I began taking workshops and healing classes, and attending psychic fairs and events. Following these steps helped me to leave a dysfunctional marriage and further develop my intuitive gifts and career.
After divorcing in 2000, I debated between attending a year-long clairvoyant training or visiting my home country of Austria with my two daughters. I chose to go to Austria for a year, connecting with my family and my cultural roots. When I returned, I was ready to delve deeply into the healing arts in a committed way, as well as to begin my electrology studies to support myself as an independent business woman.
My first intuitive healing teacher, Sandra Kovacs, trained directly with Dr. Lewis Bostwick, who founded the renowned Berkeley Psychic Institute (BPI) (https://www.berkeleybpi.com/). Luckily for me, Sandra had expanded her gift to the Taos region in the nineties. Juli Somers, breath worker, clairvoyant reader, interfaith minister and teacher extraordinaire (http://julisomers.com), completed her training with Sandra in Taos, and together they opened the center on Luisa Street in Santa Fe, where I had begun my journey in the healing arts.
When I returned to New Mexico from Austria, I found out that Juli and Sandra had parted ways, and Juli was in the process of starting her own endeavor, The Center for Intuitive Development. Later, it was renamed the Center for Inner Truth. In 2004, I completed the yearlong training there and became an intuitive reader and spiritual healer. I continued my studies, becoming a co-director, clairvoyant teacher and minister in the Center for Inner Truth, teaching classes and workshops, and assisting at spiritual retreats. My dear friend Lory Pollina shared these years of training and practice with me. He has since moved to Buffalo and can be found online at https://soulselfawareness.com. For many years, we facilitated weekly free spiritual healing clinics, monthly psychic fairs and bi-monthly Sunday services. My friends, Lisa P, (https://deeprootsstudio.com) and Stacia Synnestvedt, (https://www.wooversity.com) began studying at the Center and became actively involved. In 2006, I started my private practices as a clairvoyant and as an electrologist, establishing a successful electrology studio, Everlasting Electrolysis (https://everlasting-electrolysis.com), which I still run today.

-
Sessions are by appointment, bookable online. All work can be done in person or online (Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, etc.).
-
All readings/healings will be recorded and sent to you on request. If you make your own recording of the session, please note it may only be for personal use and with Barbara’s express permission.
-
During the readings or healings, Barbara will have her eyes closed, but the client is expected to keep eyes open, seated in a chair with feet planted on the floor.
-
I start each session with a universal, non-denominational prayer.
-
This work goes deeper than the truth you might get from a book. At times, you might be challenged to move though blockages and resistance to a truth different than what your mind expects.
The Work
I embrace the basic principles of BPI, namely the non-dogmatic approach of always being a beginner, known as “psychic kindergarten,” and staying out of a competitive mindset. The BPI trainings are a way for one to get in touch with one’s own inner truth, connect to the God of one’s own heart, and teach how to look from neutrality, or the third eye. Another important BPI teaching that I practice is the idea that amusement is one the highest healing vibrations.
In my healing work, I start with and follow these core principles, infusing them with my own unique touch. I work locally and also remotely, with people from all over the world.
Included in the price of readings/healings is the time I take before and after sessions for the health of all involved. Dr. Bostwick at BPI discovered that many healers get sick from not taking care of themselves, and developed techniques to keep the energy fields of practitioners clear and neutral. Mindful of this, I prepare for sessions by getting grounded and into a clairvoyant space through meditation prior to any reading or healing. Afterwards, I take time to reflect on anything that has been raised in me by the work and to return to neutral, clear, grounded presence.
